Ann and Mac’s wedding weekend began in style with a rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at the iconic RPM Seafood, one of Chicago’s most stunning spots along the river. Friends and family gathered to toast the couple, share stories, and soak in the anticipation of what was to come. Between heartfelt speeches (and a few cocktails for courage), there wasn’t a dry eye in the room—laughter and happy tears set the perfect tone for the celebrations ahead.
By the next morning, the energy shifted into wedding-day excitement. Chicago delivered the quintessential October Saturday: crisp air, leaves just beginning to turn, and warm sunshine bouncing off the skyline. While the wedding party got ready, the couple’s closest family and friends moved through the city, buzzing with anticipation. From hair and makeup to final timeline touches, the morning unfolded seamlessly, filled with music, coffee runs, and that unshakable “today’s the day” feeling.
As guests arrived for the ceremony, it was clear that Ann and Mac’s vision had come to life—a celebration that blended East Coast polish with Midwest warmth, all against the backdrop of their favorite city. Ann started her day with wedding-day glam at The Ritz-Carlton, while Mac and the guys enjoyed fall football and wings at The Racquet Club. After first looks with her family, Ann and her crew boarded their wedding-day transportation and made their way to the club. Once there, Ann and Mac shared their first look and exchanged private vows in the library — a quiet, intimate moment before the day officially began.
Ann and Mac wanted a simple yet beautiful start to their day. They began with photos inside the club and around the surrounding block. The architecture of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood perfectly complemented their refined, timeless style, providing a stunning backdrop for every shot. Afterward, they made their way to St. James Chapel for their ceremony.
St. James Chapel was simply breathtaking — gorgeous from every angle. From the Victorian-era stained glass windows to the white marble altar and reredos, and the stunning rose window in the choir loft, the space was nothing short of extraordinary. Speaking of the choir loft: Mac’s sister is a trained opera singer and sang a ceremony hymn. I still get goosebumps thinking about how beautiful her voice sounded in the chapel.
After their Catholic ceremony, everyone made their way to The Racquet Club for the reception. Partway through the evening, our gorgeous bride changed into her reception dress, and the celebration kicked into high gear. Guests danced, laughed, and toasted the couple late into the night with music from Entourage. Memories that will last a lifetime.
Happy (almost) anniversary, Ann and Mac—cheers to many more years of love, laughter, and joy!
