Liz + Brian: A Classic Chicago Wedding at The Old Post Office

Oh, where to begin with Liz and Brian’s wedding day?! Their wedding day officially began with their first look on the iconic Chicago Riverwalk, with a ceremony at the gorgeous Holy Name Cathedral, and ended with a Chicago-style reception atop The Old Post Office. The couple combined their loves for the east coast (their current home and Brian’s childhood home) and Chicago (Liz’s childhood home) to make for one epic wedding day!

Liz and Brian after their ceremony

When I first met Liz and Brian, I knew they were a special couple. The two of them were all smiles throughout our consultation call, absolutely giddy for their special day. They were a little concerned about the logistics since they live together in Boston but together with Liz’s parents whom are local, we were able to pull off the most perfect day.

Both Liz and Brian got ready with their ready parties – separately, of course! Liz and her girlfriends wore the most fun and bright robes for their getting ready photos. Then, Liz’s mom, maid of honor, and soon-to-be-sister-in-law, all helped her into her gown. Since Liz is the only daughter of three children, we did a first look with her dad and two older brothers. Truly, what a sweet moment! Watching brothers get emotional over how gorgeous their sister is will never get old!

Down the hall, Brian’s best man helped him with the finishing touches: watch, cufflinks, and bowtie! Brian was spotted gifting his grandmother something special. Grandparents are truly Earth’s angels and I was so happy that Noelle was able to capture this sweet moment. I bet Brian and his family are, too 🙂

Finally, though, it was time for the first look! Together, Liz and Brian decided to do their first look on the iconic Chicago Riverwalk.

After photos, they boarded their busses and were off to get married! Their Holy Name Cathedral ceremony was absolute perfection. I mean, the church alone is so gorgeous. And then fill it with the couple and their stunning guests?

And finally… an epic wedding reception!

The Old Post Office made for the most iconic and classic Chicago wedding. With The Meadow home to cocktail hour and The Penthouse home to dinner and dancing. Truly, we could not have dreamed up a better day!

Cheers, cheers, cheers! A million cheers to Liz + Brian!!
